JUNIOR INTERIOR ARCHITECT

Role:

We are seeking a junior interior architect with growing knowledge of architecture principles and practices to join our team. Participate as a contributory member of the project team in all aspects of project scope, conceptualizations, design development, production/implementation of construction documents and collaboration with consultants. Under the tutelage of the design director and Senior Project Architect, integrate technical aspects of an assigned project, including investigation, evaluation, and recommendation of design solutions. Follow project scope to assure compliance with client directions, design intent, schedule, and budget. Perform submittal reviews during construction, maintain RFI and submittal logs, maintain order of drawing files, etc.

Requirements:

  • Licensed Architect or Pursuing Licensure with 3+ plus years of experience in hospitality, F&B and retail architecture

  • Professional Degree in Architecture from an accredited program General understanding of the design process, familiar with conventional aspects of architecture, code review, and ADA guidelines.

  • Proficient in AutoCAD, Bluebeam, Adobe Suite, G Suite, Photoshop, Microsoft Office, and other applicable programs. REVIT proficiency is a plus.

  • Proficiency in 3-D software such as Sketchup and Rhino are a plus.

  • Ability to communicate design ideas and direction quickly.

  • Ability to communicate effectively with clients, consultants, contractors, and staff.

  • Strong interpersonal skills with all levels of management and staff.

  • Excellent verbal, communication, and organizational skills

  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Survey existing and as-built conditions on sites where required.

  • Establish and maintain drawing files utilizing Dash drawing standards.

  • Translating design intent into initial drawings in collaboration with interior design team.

  • Create architectural drawings and construction documents, including space plans, floor plans,

  • reflected ceiling plans, sections, elevations, millwork, details, and schedules in collaboration with the project team.

  • Assist the project’s respective AOR with preparation of DOB filing set packages.

  • Follow up with pertinent parties to ensure timely submission and fulfillment of DOB requirements.

  • Maintain a ‘big picture’ understanding of the project’s design and brand strategy and goals.

  • Complete work in a timely manner and provide deliverables based on both internal deadlines set by the interior architect and design director and external deadlines set by project schedules.

  • Highly attentive to details, accuracy, and visual aesthetic.

  • Develop a broad knowledge of building systems, codes, and ADA requirements.

  • Production and/or editing of 2D/3D in-house design renderings for presentations.

  • Proactive, solution-driven, and deadline-driven professionals.

  • Positive attitude, collaborative team player, and detail-oriented approach.
