SENIOR INTERIOR ARCHITECT
dash design is currently searching for a senior interior architect. Candidate should have a Bachelor’s or Master´s in Architecture (or Interior Architecture), with a broad range of interests and skills, strong graphic sense, self-motivation, enthusiasm for teamwork and the desire to contribute and learn.

Candidates should have 10+ years of relevant work experience at an Interior Design or Architecture studio. Participate as a leading member of the team to develop projects from initial concept through to the production of construction documents. Responsible for technical design of projects, including detailing millwork, coordinating with consultants and supervision of construction. Monitor project scope to assure compliance with client directions, design intent, schedule, and budget. Act as a point of contact with the Architect of Record and consultants. Perform submittal reviews during construction, maintain RFI and submittal logs. The position will work closely with the Design Director and Senior Interior Designer and may oversee a small team of architectural designers.
Requirements:
10+ years of experience in hospitality, F&B, and retail architecture
Professional Degree in Architecture from an accredited program
candidate must understand the process of translating design concepts into building assemblies, be able to space plan, provide furniture layouts, develop imagery, and prepare specifications
Knowledge of the full design process, competent in all conventional aspects of architecture, code review and universal access guidelines
Working knowledge of developing Construction Documents and coordinating drawing sets with external consultants
Proficient in AutoCAD, Bluebeam, Adobe Suite, Google Suite and Microsoft Office and other applicable programs. Ability to work in Revit is a plus
Possess 3-D computer modelling and rendering skills (Navisworks, Sketchup, 3D Max, Rhino, Lumion, V-ray etc.)
Flexibility to work on and to prioritize multiple projects in various stages of development
English proficiency is required
Ability to communicate design ideas and direction quickly
Ability to communicate effectively with clients, consultants, contractors, and staff
Strong interpersonal skills with all levels of management and staff
Excellent verbal, communication, and organizational skills; proactive and solution driven
Ability to work in imperial units (Inches and feet) and metric
Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
Duties & Responsibilities:
This role is 50% design & 50% technical/production-focused.
Bring fresh, creative ideas to your team that are project appropriate, on brand for the client, and with the supporting rationale
Translate strategic concepts into unique spaces and experiences with senior team member guidance
Collaboratively generate design concept ideas with team members to present for director and/or project manager review
Lead in the preparation of concept drawings, schematicsand design development with senior team member oversight
Assemble and organize presentations
Prepare the appropriate selection of interior finish materials for design projects in collaboration with the interior designer.
Create and maintain the interior architectural drawing list, inclusive of details and millwork
Accurately produce guideline documents via AutoCAD, including plans, elevations, details, millwork and schedules, to ensure appropriateness for application
Coordinate and communicate with outside consultants, e.g. lighting designer, Architect of Record
Understand universal access requirements, local codes and have working knowledge of MEP and building systems.
Highly attentive to details, accuracy, and visual aesthetic.
